Yes, I am the Wordswolf.  Some know me as Sean Campbell, or S.D. Campbell or even Whytewolf.  This is my third attempt at launching my random thoughts out into the world, but I’m sure you’re interested in knowing more about me, so here we go:

I’m a former member of the Canadian Forces, so needless to say I have some favorite military saying, including my blog-motto:

Illegitimis non carborundum

…and one of my other favourite sayings which sums up my approach to managing (and working within) teams:

Never tell people how to do things.  Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.

It’s a sad fact that these are both quotes from American Generals, but they’re our allies, so what the hell!

I’m a single dad who’s officially over the hill (according to my pre-teen) and I’m a software engineer by training although these days I’m involved in digital marketing, specifically consulting on marketing automation and demand generation. I come by that honestly as I was the lead developer on a SaaS-based marketing automation tool for 5 years before moving into a marketing agency.

I’m a passionate scale-modeller with several ship models on public display.  I love military history and am something of a wonk when it comes to politics (where I lean center-left).

I’m a published sci-fi short fiction writer, and am currently working on two books and a collection of short stories.

And that’s me!
