S.D. Campbell is an author of short fiction and military history.
S.D. Campbell was raised in Canada’s smallest province, PEI, and is a former member of the Canadian Forces, having served with the Prince Edward Island Regiment. He is a published speculative fiction author and a competitive scale modeler, having won awards for his work. Several of his model ships are on public display, and have proven to be a source of inspiration in Sean’s interest in the history of the Royal Canadian Navy. Some of his work on the history of Canadian destroyers has previously appeared in Canadian Naval Review.
Sean’s prior short fiction has been collected in Before the Crash, and his first non-fiction book is Tin-Can Canucks: A Century of Canadian Destroyers.
A software engineer with a background in marketing automation, Sean now works as a marketing automation expert and digital marketing specialist in Calgary, Alberta. He is a volunteer civilian instructor with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, acting as supply officer for RCSCC 335 Calgary.
He resides in Calgary with his daughter and several of her guinea pigs.
